I picked creating a racing app in Google Street View for several reasons: I wanted practice in Android Studio, I had never used an API before and wanted to learn, I loved the idea of being able to race for "real" and was eager to make it happen. My number one goal for my hack was to make something that was "doable" yet still challenged my programming skills and allowed me to grow, which I certainly did. I somehow managed to force Google APK and API software to work on my Amazon Kindle, a true feat considering how the two were intentionally designed to not work together. I also gained a lot of practice and experience in Android Studio with Java. Thank you to Pearl Hacks for this amazing experience!
