We were inspired by Pebble's capabilities. We wanted to think of some fun implementations for the Pebble accelerometer. We used the acceleration detection across the x-axis to measure the user's motions.

As the user simulates a petting action, the hardware (we tested with Pebble emulation and an android phone accelerometer) picks up the motion and counts the number of these motions. Once the virtual cat is petted a certain number of times, her mood changes from "sad" to "happy".
